Deathline "Destroy all Monsters" @ 93 Feet East on Tues 26 January

Deathline continue their return from a songwriting break this January and prepare to unveil more new material as guests of Scenery Chewer's night "Destroy All Monsters" at 93 Feet East on Tuesday 26th January.

The night is one of an ongoing series of benefits for the charity Youth Music who provide the means to create music for the UK's most disadvataged young people. They were recently the beneficiary of Rage Against the Machine<'s recent Christmas triumph over the forces of shiteness.

Entry is FREE but takings from the bar go to help the charity and we're also going to be selling the remainder of our merchandise from last year with 100% of the money going to benefit the charity too. This includes a few remaining copies of our debut album SixtyNine. These wil be going for just a quid each as the cases are a bit duffed from hauling venue to venue, but of course if you want to give a bit more we'd be grateful.

Come and enjoy Deathline's new heavier darker sound. We're onstage at 8.45pm.

Hi all,

Slow as molasses in January? Want to start the new year in style whilst waiting for that paycheck to hit? Well so do we, and we sure as heck are going to....

Scenery Chewery and Bon Chic Bon Genre proudly brings Destroy All Monsters to 93 Feet East on Tuesday the 26th Jan and its FREE, FREE, FREE!!!!

A hand picked line up of musical performers and an esteemed jockey of discs spinning the hottest of wax will be taking to the stage.

Highlights promised are an adult size helping of rock noir from DEATHLINE, some sweet acoustic "riballadry" (Editor's note: What?!) courtesy of LIAM BUTLER, head-spining electronica featuring a bone fide string quartet and mystery guests from Welsh wunderkind CULPRIT 1, and to end the night some seriously freaky dancing sounds and audio visuals courtesy of cutting edge experimentalists POSTHUMAN and DIGITONAL.

Providing the musical flow throughout this very special evening DJ Dan Ellitts and a special appearance by the curator, London's very own 'Bon Chic Bon Genre' (the hammer that knocks the nails in).

Proceeds from the bar will go to the charity Youth Music (www.youthmusic.org.uk), and there will be donation buckets for your loose change, so buy a drink and unburden your wallets if you can. It's free, but it's also for a good cause!

Posthuman vs Digitonal
An improvised live showcase of two electronic acts of different disciplines: the beautiful & lush cinematics of modern classical crossover act Digitonal, against the jacked up electro, techno & breaks of Posthuman.

Culprit 1
"An artist with an innate ability to focus on a feeling" iDJ. Culprit 1 has also earned the ringing endorsement of the dance community. His latest single 'Tricks' was remixed by none other than Paul Hartnoll of the legendary Orbital, one of Culp's childhood heroes. Paul was quickly followed on remix duties by a leading light of the new breed - award-winning breakbeat producer Rogue Element. He recently played a storming set at SXSW in Austin, Texas before touring the UK with American experimentalists Subtle. He's also performed alongside electronica buddies Bonobo, Caribou, High Contrast and Mylo.

Deathline
"Deathline are a female lead duo with a fine line in post artrock rumble that purrs like a new born kitten and shreds your skin like a tiger on speed. Kinda like a 21st century Sonny & Cher having lunch with The Raveonettes served by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs' at Joy Division's greasy spoon cafe."
- The Devil Has The Best Tuna

Liam Butler
"A long and exciting career with as many twists and turns as one of those rainbow lollies. He is also a man who can interweve a deep and profound longing into his work. Sounds like a tear in the corner of your eye" (Matt Spokes, unbiased compadre). "This man looks like an idiot, sounds like an idiot but don't let that fool you" (Ralph Dorey, sculptmaster paraphrasing Zizek).

Youth Music is the UK's largest children's music charity. Since 1999, we have touched over 2 million young lives through the power of music. This year we are 10 and we want everyone to help us celebrate, not just our birthday but our belief in the power of music to change lives.
