Short interview
I phoned myself in the middle of the night last night and managed to grab this short interview:
Q: So what's going on? Are you even alive?
A: Yes, I most certainly am. Things are very busy and exciting for me right now. My company is going from strength to strength. We've moved into new and beautiful offices in Clerkenwell, London, and we're about to rebrand and relaunch.
The music's going really well too, we're wrting lots of new songs, and are slowly assembling a fantastic short tour of the East Coast and Midwestern US which will conclude with our appearance at SLCC (Second Life Community Convention) on August 25th, in Chicago.
Oh and all my friends are having birthdays at the moment, so I'm almost constantly out and drunk. In short, I'm having a blast!
Q: So I guess that explains the paucity of posts on your blog then, huh?
A: Pretty much so, yes.
Q: Are you enjoying the new season of Doctor Who? I noticed you haven't written your normal "half term report" yet, and the second half of Series 3 is about to kick off.
A: Yes, I like it a lot. If season 1 could be described as "Groundbreaking", season 2 as "Experimental", then season 3 deserves the tag "Assured". It's been top notch so far. Even the comparatively weak Dalek episodes had a wonderful nostalgic tone to them. Somewhere between 80's Doctor Who and 40's Pulp.
I will write the half term thing. Soon.
Q: Do you even dress any more? I get the impression that you don't.
A: Well, I guess with everything going on, it has fallen by the wayside. I have a certain amount of creative energy and it's being taken up by music and work really. The dressing and blogging are very much secondary to that purpose right now. Sorry.
Having said that I did tremendously enjoy putting on the wig and make-up to take these shots a couple of weeks ago:
I just didn't manage to get into any clothes. Doh.
Q: You're off to Sweden I hear
A: Yes, Jennie and I are heading off to her mum's place in early June to shoot a video for the song C'mon C'mon.
The plan is for her to wear this dress and drive around in a white cadillac in the forest looking mysterious and sultry. The dress is by our good friend Roger who is the wonderful lead designer at Camilla Staerk CS DK. Deathline are dressed by him.
Q: Well, this certainly has been an eye-opening conversation. Thank you.
A: It's a pleasure. Can I go back to sleep now?
Q: I wish I would.
A: Good night.
Q: Good night.
